Chapter 6: Ignition

Once the scenes are over, feel free to talk to Kasuga's friends for some extra dialogue. The game will proceed once you choose "Look Around Cautiously".

A series of events will lead to a Kasuga solo fight against Level 17 Foreman Yan and two level 16 workers. Totally fair. Kasuga's cell phone has no service in this area, so calling a Poundmate is out of the question. However, you can go into your Items and try to throw a Hand Grenade at the group. You can also use the skill Stack Slap to take out Yan quickly.

Thankfully, Kasuga will retrieve his bat after the next cutscene, and your party will be fully assembled again as well. Open the silver safe in this room to find a Slapjack, then immediately look to your right of that safe for a cleverly hidden Throwing Knife on the ground. Behind you, there will be a Spider on top of some boxes. Once you open up the door out of this room, you'll immediately find two briefcases containing Staminan X next to the Recovery Station. Be sure to save and heal up your team.

There are several fights coming up, so now would be a good time to teach you about Skill Shortcuts. This allows you to assign a skill to one of the D-pad buttons, which you can use to quickly access a party member's skill during their turn. You can assign up to four skills per party member (one for each D-pad button). This will be especially useful in the later parts of the game when you will have a long list of skills to choose from, but let's start to make use of it now. To get started, open up your pause menu and select "Skills".

Press Guide for Yakuza: Like a Dragon (1) while hovered over any party member and their skills will pop up. As an example:

When you get to that character's turn in battle, you can press the D-pad buttons to activate those skills immediately, which saves you time from having to find what you are looking for in the Skills menu.

If you have been keeping Eri in your active party, you may have noticed she unlocked the skill "Thumbtack Scatter" at Clerk level 4. I highly recommend you assign this skill to a shortcut (if you have not unlocked it yet; a small handful of battles will unlock it quickly):

So, why is Thumbtack Scatter such an important skill, and why does it need to be assigned to a shortcut? Well, for starters, Eri will most likely have the highest Agility stat out of everyone in your party, even if she isn't wearing the best gear right now. This means that she is highly likely to go first in battle. When you start a battle against enemies that are standing close together, the enemies will start to gradually spread out over the course of the fight, even when it's not their turn. However, Thumbtack Scatter is an AOE skill that works best when the enemies are standing close together.

In other words, if you start a fight with enemies that are standing close together, you will want to select Eri's Thumbtack Scatter as quickly as possible (before they start spreading out) so that you can hit them for as much damage as possible and end your fights quickly. Assigning it to a shortcut can save you a few seconds and make this possible.

Let's proceed with this dungeon. In this narrow hallway, you will have a mandatory fight against three easy enemies. Since they are standing close together, you can try out your Thumbtack Scatter strategy on them if you'd like. There's nothing noteworthy here otherwise, so proceed to the manhole cover at the end of the hallway and get ready to explore this dungeon:

When you head up the stairs, you will reach a checkpoint and a small room to heal and save in. While you're here, be sure to open the safe in the middle of this room:

You will immediately unlock the following achievement:

  • Treasure Displeasure

A creep crawled out of a safe for the first time.

Guide for Yakuza: Like a Dragon (6)

1 guideGuide for Yakuza: Like a Dragon (7)Guide for Yakuza: Like a Dragon (8)

This enemy is weak to Ice and Blade, so you can use that knowledge to take him out quickly. Proceed down the stairs once again to continue your venture through the underground:

After this room you will come across another B3F, but it's a smaller room. Be sure to grab the Ragged Cloth, Dirty Iron, Pearl and 2x Trash. Proceed to the next part of the dungeon:

As indicated by this map, there is an enemy worth pointing out. He is a Tinkersman hiding inside a safe, and it would be best to hit him with Ichiban's Tag Team: Essence of Mayhem if you have the MP for it. If you do not defeat him fast enough, he will throw up a barrier that can make him annoying to defeat. Don't forget to save and heal at the designated area before you continue.

You will encounter a mini boss called Heavy Machinery (which is just a giant bulldozer) and it has a high defence. You will have full MP if you healed back there, so use your strongest moves until the machine reaches half health, causing Foreman Yan to fall out of it. From that point on, it's an easy win. Be sure to grab the Wooden Flipper and Makeup Pouch from the two safes on your way out.

Finally, you are on the ground again. If you'd like, go to Survive after the scenes to heal (if needed) and deepen your bonds if they're available. Note that you're currently locked out of continuing any substories, so let's get a move on with the story to fix that.

If you decide to walk to the next waypoint, then you might end up picking up a Tojo Clan Crest or two along the way. Starting from this chapter, these items will be scattered all around the city and can be exchanged for various prizes in the Grande Blu Marino hotel, which is located on Hamakita Park Avenue. For more information on what this shop has to offer, feel free to visit the Secret Shops page.

When you reach Ijin Street, there will be groups of enemies blocking your way, so take them out. The next part of the story will take place in this small alleyway, up the stairs. As soon as you ascend the first set of stairs, look to your left for a kappa statue behind a fence/railing (you may have to fight the enemies first in order to get close enough to it for a picture):

This is your Kappture the Kappa (5/10). We're halfway to a very generous reward!

After this first group of enemies, be sure to pick up the Garlic and Chinese Sticky Rice in this area.

Moving into the next area, you will find a breakable door, indicated by a glowing yellow circle on it (this can only be seen if you already levelled Kasuga's Charisma to 3 and switched him to the Foreman class at some point):

Break this door with Guide for Yakuza: Like a Dragon (14) to reveal the secret shop Black Market Merchant, which has a bunch of goodies for sale. Above all else, I recommend stocking up on Superpower Rings to make your party stronger, along with Silver Bracelets for Nanba and Pearl Earrings for your Idol character. Buy a half dozen Gold Safe Keys if you can afford them as well -- secret shops are the only places that sell them. You will want to have at least one Gold Safe Key in your inventory but it will be for a much later chapter.

Descend the next set of stairs and defeat the next group of enemies quickly; otherwise they will call for their subordinates and prolong the fight. In this area, you can grab the Handmade Steamed Bun, Hot Pepper, Rough Hide, and a Professional's Whisk inside a safe.

The last fight in this area will be a little tougher. You are up against level 19 Mamoru Takabe and five of his subordinates. Use Eri's Thumbtack Scatter to get a head start on it, and focus on eliminating the subordinates first. Takabe has no weaknesses, but he's also comparatively squishy from the other mini bosses you have fought so far. Upon the end of this fight, the chapter will end and unlock the following achievement:

Chapter 7: The Spider's Web

Kasuga will receive a text message from none other than the Sujimon Sensei, who is eager to let him know that the Yokohama Underground Dungeon is available to revisit. The venture is optional, but useful if you want to level up your team quickly or add more entries to your Sujidex. We will have plenty of opportunities later on for both of these things, so the dungeon is entirely up to you.

Now that we have a lead, let's follow the story waypoint to the Geomijul's hideout. A scene will trigger when you reach the waypoint. Enjoy the scenery while you slowly follow Seong-hui towards the hideout. Once you gain control of Kasuga, the first thing you should do is open the safe here for an Anti-corrosion Boxcutter:

Before you proceed with the story, I recommend taking a minor detour to Romance Workshop and upgrading this weapon, along with all of your other gear. Head on over and have Sumire upgrade all of your weapons, including the Anti-corrosion Boxcutter you just obtained, and equip it on Eri if you have her as a Clerk. You might notice that it will cost 200,000 yen to further upgrade the facility's level, which is an understandably steep price to pay (depending on how much or little you have farmed money through Business Management so far). If you happen to be strapped for cash, that issue will be solved a little later in this chapter, so there is no need to worry for now. Just upgrade your weapons as far as you can.

Each weapon upgrade counts as a "new" weapon, so you might unlock this achievement or be really close to it:

  • Romance of the 10 Pieces

Made 10 pieces of gear at Romance Workshop.

Guide for Yakuza: Like a Dragon (20)

1 guideGuide for Yakuza: Like a Dragon (21)Guide for Yakuza: Like a Dragon (22)Guide for Yakuza: Like a Dragon (23)

Don't worry if it doesn't unlock for you, as you are likely very close to it and there will be several more weapons to upgrade down the road.

Once you are fully prepared and healed, return to the Geomijul hideout and save your game. Talk to Seong-hui and confirm that you want to proceed.

After some scenes, you will have two fights in a row. The first is against five Geomijul members (level 18-21), followed by another four of them. They should all go down without any huge issues. Search this room to find a Tempered Glass, Mysterious Mushroom, and a Staminan X. Outside this room in the hallway, there is also a Throwing Knife on the floor and a Makeup Pouch in a safe. Head up the stairs and through the door.

The next fight will be against four Geomijul Brawlers (level 18-22). This area has a Toughness Z, Hand Grenade, Luxury Yakiniku Bento, and some Metal Shin Guards in the safe. Ascend the stairs partway and drop down to grab a Mysterious Mushroom, a Raw Sapphire Ore, and another Hand Grenade. If you keep going up the stairs you will find a Super Spicy Frankfurter and High-end Kimchi, along with High-quality Cloth and Guardian Water near the apartments. When you step up on the planks, you will be able to grab a Raw Platinum Ore. Before you cross the bridge of cables to the other side, be sure to also grab the Full-grain Leather at this row of apartments, and you will also find a Refined Iron and Mysterious Mushroom at the very top of the stairs.

When you are at the top of the stairs, Kasuga's friends might make a comment about how you've reached a dead end. Kasuga decides that the only way to press forward is to cross via the bridge of cables. Once you've done this, grab the Super Spicy Frankfurter right next to you. Also, you can navigate the mini-maze of cable spools for a Toughness Z.

Once you reach a more open area, Kasuga will start to think that he is being watched. This will trigger an event where you have to search for all of the hidden Geomijul (there are six total). Below are some pictures of their locations:

Once you find them, you will have to fight them. When that's done, search the area for a High-end Leather, First Aid Kit, and a Steel Hammer in the safe. To leave the area, approach the cable spools and Kasuga can climb them starting from the shortest one. After crossing, drop down for a Muscle Soda then head up the stairs for another fight.

When this fight ends, look for a safe in a dark corner containing a Pirate's Hat. There's another safe in this area with a Protector, and also a Tauriner + is on the ground next to it. When you go up the stairs here and follow the path, you'll also come across a Tungsten and Mysterious Stone.

After these items, be sure to look to your left immediately after stepping up on the roof to spot the room with a recovery machine:

Even if you haven't been collecting every item so far, be sure you definitely grab the Bulletproof Shield in this room (it's in a safe). This item is very important!

Continue on when you're ready, and you'll find Gleaming Aluminum and High-end Kimchi here. When you go up the stairs, immediately look to your right and there's a First Aid Kit waiting for you. Proceed through the door, where Nanba will ask if you are ready.

Boss: Joon-gi Han (Level 23)
Weaknesses: Fire

Note that Nanba will be unusable for this fight, which forces you to run a Kasuga/Adachi/Saeko/Eri team. You can start off the battle with Eri's Inkblot Nocturne to reduce his accuracy and evasion. Buff your team with Kasuga if you'd like, or call a Poundmate. Keep your party healed at all times; his Divine Shot is powerful and can throw you off if you're not prepared. Kasuga's Tag Team: Essence of Mayhem will deal some generous damage too. Eri's Rolling Kick can also knock him down and score you some Opportune Strikes.

Following this fight, you will be up against more enemies. There will be three battles in a row, but these are the same type of enemies that you have been fighting on your way up here, so they shouldn't pose a threat. Just be sure to use your Idol to heal if the Joon-gi Han fight left your team badly wounded.

At this point, Nanba will have left your party. Your next objective is to return to the Homeless Camp, but don't go there yet! Instead, take the stairs on your right to the top, and then look across. There should be a kappa statue at the opposite balcony. Snap the photo for your Kappture the Kappa (6/10):

Return to the Homeless Camp for some scenes. Before we head over to Chinatown, let's grab another kappa statue that's nearby. Heal your party, then head to the south end of S Sakura River Street:

Look at the river, and there should be a kappa statue in the corner with its back facing the water. You may have to get very close in order for the "Guide for Yakuza: Like a Dragon (31) Take Picture" prompt to appear and be rewarded for this kappa:

This is your Kappture the Kappa (7/10).

Before we continue with the story, we are going to give our Adachi a much-needed upgrade! Remember that Bulletproof Shield you snagged earlier at the Geomijul Hideout? You are going to want to upgrade that at the Romance Workshop and switch Adachi to an Enforcer in the process. This is all completely optional, of course, but Adachi can learn an incredibly powerful set of skills (and is arguably at his strongest) as an Enforcer. It's definitely worth doing this as soon as you can. Going to the Romance Workshop and upgrading the Bulletproof Shield will also help you grab the "Romance of the 10 Pieces" achievement, if you don't have it yet. When that's done, head on over to Hello Work and change Adachi to Enforcer.

By the way, there's another kappa statue that is incredibly close to our next story waypoint. It is just outside the Yi Xing Tang pharmacy, as shown on this map:

The kappa itself is carefully wedged between two buildings, so it can be easy to miss:

Get out your camera and snap this photo for your Kappture the Kappa (8/10):

Head on over to the waypoint to view some story scenes, and this will conclude chapter 7. You will unlock the following achievement:

  • Three Spiders

    Completed Chapter 7.

Chapter 8: Bleached Black

Talk to Joon-gi Han, and ask "Where's Nanba?" to get a possible lead and the next story waypoint. This chapter is pretty short, so let's begin by collecting the last two kappa statues.

Before you continue the story, let's introduce you to Hamakita Park. This area previously had some high-level enemies, but now your party should be more than capable of handling them. This is also a good opportunity to level up Adachi's Enforcer class -- be sure to get it to rank 6 so you will unlock the powerful job skill "Paralysis Prongs". This is one of the strongest skills in the game, and it deals an incredible amount of damage while having a high chance to paralyze the enemy. This is a great skill to use on bosses or tanky mobs!

Your next kappa will be in Hamakita Park, at a store called "Hero's Harvest" as shown here:

Approach the shop, and you will see the kappa sitting next to the shopkeeper!:

Snap a photo of this little guy for Kappture the Kappa (9/10):

Feel free to buy vegetables or seeds from this shop as well; you can bring them to Survive and have the barkeeper craft lunchboxes for you (they are easily some of the best healing items in this game, with some of them healing both HP and MP for your team!).

Your final kappa is on the northwest corner of Ijincho:

You could also fast travel to the taxi at Sunlight Castle (the one you unlocked in chapter 4) to shorten the trip. Either way, make your way over there and you will find the kappa behind the MIRAI Batting Center, enjoying its nice little spot in the corner of the map:

Take out your camera and photograph him for your Kappture the Kappa (10/10). Congratulations! We are not quite done yet, though -- be sure to turn this quest in at any Part-time Hero Report location (indicated by a blue helmet icon on the map) and you will now be 2 million yen richer.

Below is some information on how/what to spend your money on. You can continue scrolling or click here to skip ahead if you wish to ignore it.

With 2 million yen in our pockets, this opens up a lot of possibilities. My most important recommendation would be to upgrade Romance Workshop at least once so that you can continue upgrading your weapons. First, go to the Welcome Pharmacy on E Tsurukame Highway and stock up on the following two items: Kao Attack ZERO and Cemedine Super X. Both of these items are frequently used to upgrade weapons to higher levels. For now, 100 of each should be enough for a while.

When that's done, head on over to the Romance Workshop and begin upgrading your weapons. To upgrade the shop, talk to Sumire and select "Craft/Upgrade Gear" followed by "Funds Support". It costs 200,000 yen to upgrade the facilities to level 2. Now, you can continue to upgrade your weapons beyond the limits imposed by the level 1 shop.

I recommend upgrading the following weapons:

  • Kasuga (Hero): Hero's Bat +2 OR Flaming Lumber +2 (*)
  • Eri (Clerk): Anti-corrosion Boxcutter -> Craftsman's Boxcutter +2
  • Adachi (Enforcer): Bulletproof Shield -> Impervious Shield +1
  • Saeko (Idol): Bastard Soda +2
  • Nanba (Homeless Guy): Rugged Cane -> Red Cane +2

(*)
= The Hero's Bat will eventually be Kasuga's main weapon for the Hero class, but the Flaming Lumber may still be out-damaging it at this stage. Plus, having that extra fire damage certainly helps, especially if your party happens to be lacking a fire element user.

By the way, if you are short on any materials needed to upgrade weapons (things like Sturdy Iron, Cheap Plastic, Immaculate Pane, etc.) you can buy them at the shop called "General Goods Cart" in Hamakita Park. It is directly to the left of the Hero's Harvest where you found your 9th kappa:

Finally, I recommend asking Sumire to craft the Lightning Bandages:

You won't need these immediately, but now is the most convenient time to craft them.

If you have been picking up all of the items mentioned so far in this walkthrough, then you should unlock (or be very close to) the following achievement. If not, you will likely unlock it very soon through natural progression of the main story and substories:

  • Gear Fanatic

Collected over 100 pieces of gear.

Guide for Yakuza: Like a Dragon (47)

1 guideGuide for Yakuza: Like a Dragon (48)Guide for Yakuza: Like a Dragon (49)Guide for Yakuza: Like a Dragon (50)

Now that our gear is optimized, let's continue with the story.

Head to the next waypoint to encounter a Level 24 Former Geomijul Officer. He may be faster than your team, but he'll be easy to defeat otherwise. Save your game and walk inside the building.

After some scenes, your first fight will be against four of Mabuchi's Underlings; all of them are pretty weak. Defeating them will immediately transition the fight into...

Boss: Akira Mabuchi (Level 25)
Weaknesses: Blade, Ice, Electric

If your Adachi is an Enforcer, then start putting those Paralysis Prongs to work! Focus on his elemental weaknesses to end this fight quickly and use your Idol to keep the team healed. When Mabuchi's health gets low, he will use Crimson Aura to raise his attack, so try hitting his weaknesses and use Kasuga's Tag Team attack.

Your last waypoint will bring you into the manager's office, which will conclude the chapter after some scenes and earn you the following achievement:

  • The Statesman

    Completed Chapter 8.

Chapter 9: House of Cards

‎‎
Kasuga will be unable to walk very far before receiving an urgent phone call from Hamako, advising him to stay away from her place because Totsuka is looking for him. Obviously, our next move is to go there immediately and teach him a lesson that he apparently didn't learn the first time around. Head to the waypoint and...

Boss: Yamato Totsuka (Level 25)
Weaknesses: Blunt, Fire

Totsuka will also have four Seiryu Clan Members with him (Level 24). Not that he really worth calling a boss at this point, but do be warned that the subordinates can actually hit pretty hard. Thumbtack Scatter is your friend here since they will likely be standing close together for most of the fight. As for Totsuka, hit him with your best Blunt attacks -- you should have plenty of them at this point.

Head to the next waypoint on the right side of f*ckutoku Bridge, where several Bleach Japan members are gathered. You will be facing five of them (Level 24) in a battle along with Kume (Level 25), but all of them are incredibly weak. Kume has a lot of health and may try to Silence (block the usage of Skills) your party members, but he's relatively harmless.

When that fight is over, walk forward and approach the crowd. Kasuga will want to confirm that you are ready. Your next fight is going to be against another group of Bleach Japan members, but they will also be a quick and easy fight.

The next fight will be tougher, but also familiar -- your party versus a giant machine (Wrecking Ball Crane). Buffs and debuffs are a great way to get started, so use Eri's Inkblot Nocturne and follow it up with Kasuga's Fearless Command. By the way, Adachi's Shield Bash excellent for this fight! Normally, the crane will target your whole party, but it will only focus on Adachi if the Shield Bash manages to enrage it. If you don't plan to use this strategy, then I highly recommend keeping your party fully healed at all times and guarding if a party member's HP does get low.

Reducing the machine to half health will cause Ishioda to fall out of the machine, stunned. Take this chance to deal as much damage to him as possible (Ishioda is weak to Electric, so Paralysis Prongs is a good fit here). Ishioda might return to the almost-dead machine; if so, finish it off quickly with blunt attacks as it's neutral to blunt.

With a fully healed party, head to your next destination of Eomeoni's Vow and save your game before heading inside. Get ready for another big fight. When you are ready, speak to the employee inside this restaurant. A few scenes will follow, and be sure to talk to Adachi to confirm that you are ready for what's ahead...

*** Spoiler - click to reveal ***

Completing that fight will lead up to scenes that finish the chapter, and you will unlock the following achievement:

  • Time to Talk

    Completed Chapter 9.

Chapter 10: Justice Tempered By Mercy

Get ready for some long cutscenes up ahead. Interact with Ogasawara a few times, and eventually you will be cornered into a fight with Bleach Japan once again. There are five of them (Level 27/28) but just as weak as the ones you've fought before.

Give a warm welcome to Joon-gi Han, your newest party member! It's been a while since we've had someone new on our team, but thankfully, he's here to stay. Before leaving the Homeless Camp, the very first thing you will want to do is equip those Lightning Bandages that you crafted in the previous chapter. Joon-gi Han's default class (Hitman) is already a great class, but it definitely doesn't hurt to get started on levelling up his bond so that you can access some other jobs for him as well.

Although Joon-gi Han is an amazing party member (his Head Trauma skill, in particular, deals amazing damage for its low MP cost), his high agility stat means that Eri will no longer have the first turn in most battles. This will make her Thumbtack Scatter strategy a lot less effective on regular enemies, because they will start to spread out during Joon-gi Han's turn. At this point, I would recommend getting her Clerk to rank 10 to learn the powerful character skill "Shadow Stitch", then switching her over to a Dealer for the rest of the game.

If you are not interested in the suggestion to change Eri's job, then click here to skip it and continue the story.

If you want to change Eri to a Dealer, then it's a good idea to get started on her best weapon for that class. The fully upgradable weapon starts off as "Tarot Cards" and can be bought in a hidden location. To access this location, you will need to get Kasuga's Style to at least level 4. The easiest way to level up your Style is by completing tests at the Ounabara Vocational School, especially the Fashionista test if you haven't already. When that's done, head to this location on the map:

Talk to this man standing in front of the bathrooms:

He will strongly suggest you "check out the wall" in the men's bathrooms, so head to the stall at the very end and press Guide for Yakuza: Like a Dragon (61) to interact with this wall:

Opening this wall will lead to a dark hallway, followed by a casino. When you enter the casino, you will see a man behind a counter selling chips. Select "Buy 100 Chips for 10,000 yen" five times. Then, select "Prize Exchange" to buy the Tarot Cards for 500 chips.

Take the cards to the Romance Workshop and upgrade them as far as possible (if your facility is level 2, you can get them to True Ace). You can also upgrade Joon-gi Han's Lightning Bandages to +1 while you're here. Armor is still very pricey to craft unless you've been farming extra money from the Business Management game, but you can craft some Metal Shin Guards or Magical Sandals for everyone if you'd like. Finally, sprint down to Hello Work and you can now change Eri to a Dealer.

When the Dealer reaches rank 6, you learn the move "Darts Airstrike". This is a powerful move that deals gun damage to three random enemies. It's also a good move for bosses, because all three darts will just hit the boss if they are alone. Gun damage is somewhat of a rare element to have on your team (the only one who learns it natively is Joon-gi Han, from his Hitman class) so this a great move to use in most fights!

Back to the story, head to the next waypoint and you'll be fighting six level 27 Yokohama Liumang. Defeating them will lead into another fight against two of them and a level 29 Zheng. When you follow the waypoint down Restaurant Row, you will encounter three more fights of these enemies, all in groups of three.

By the way, if you missed the secret shop in this area earlier, it would be a good idea to stop by now and stock up on Gold Safe Keys (10 of them is a decent amount for now).

After the third fight, search this area for a Tauriner and a Premium First Aid Kit. Be sure to heal up and save before entering this building.

Inside the restaurant, five more Yokohama Liumang (Level 29-30) are here to greet you. Persistent, aren't they? Call a Poundmate if you would like to end this fight quickly. On this floor you'll find Restorative Medicine, Roasted Chestnuts, Almond Jelly, Toughness ZZ, and one random item next to the door you came in from. Head up the stairs, grabbing the Tactical Helmet in the safe along your way. At the top of the stairs, there will also be Burn Ointment and Astringent Gauze.

Open the double-doors and you will fight four more Yokohama Liumang... chefs. They love to use fire attacks similar to Nanba's Pyro Breath/Belch, so be on the lookout for that. In this room you can heal and pick up Roasted Chestnuts, Shark Fin Bun, Garlic, Onion, Hot Pepper, Potato, Chinese Sticky Rice, and Liquid Nitrogen Spray.

The next room will have Sturdy Plastic, Mysterious Stone, Full-grain Leather, and there are Iron Gloves in a safe. The following room will be a flight of stairs, but don't ascend them just yet. Instead, go down first and grab a Mango Pudding that is sitting near a heap of trash. Go all the way up the stairs, go up to the next floor for Chinese Detoxers and a Golden Mantis. The next floor up will have a Brainwash Gas Ball, and a Wonder Gown.

When you open the door here, you will be in a fight against Qing Jin Manager Wang (level 30), who is weak to Ice. Following his defeat will leave you against a Ferocious Tiger (level 31). The tiger is pretty strong, so be cautious with this one. Have Kasuga buff the team with Fearless Command. The tiger is weak to Gun and Fire attacks, so use Joon-gi Han's Rapid Shot and/or Eri's Darts Airstrike. The fight should net your team some decent XP. Search for a Raw Ruby Ore near the cage door.

There will be more items up the stairs, such as a room containing Chinese Sticky Rice, Handmade Meat Bun, Tauriner ++, and two safes containing Tactical Boots and Magical Sandals. Proceed up the stairs and there will be a small dialog between Kasuga and his friends. Grab a Premium First Aid Kit, Staminan XX, and a Tactical Vest inside the safe. Be sure to heal at the recovery station and prepare for the upcoming battles on the other side of the door...

Boss: Akira Mabuchi (Level 31)
Weaknesses: Blade, Ice, Electric

Mabuchi hasn't changed much since you last fought him. He should be easy especially with Joon-gi Han or with Adachi's Paralysis Prongs. Be sure to focus on the four subordinates (Level 30) first. Take out Mabuchi quickly once he starts using Crimson Aura to buff his own attack. You could have your Idol use Sly Pose to lower his attack as well if she's not busy healing your team.

Hey would you look at that! Nanba is back! He's also got a few new moves to show you, just in time for...

Boss: Reiji Ishioda (Level 31)
Weaknesses: Electric, Fire, Ice

Including seven (!) subordinates within the 28-30 level range. They may have numbers, but we have Nanba, and the first thing you will want to do is activate Nanba's Essence of Pyro Prison to knock them out effortlessly. Ishioda can still hit hard, so don't stop lowering his stats (especially Accuracy, with Eri's Photoblink) and buffing yours. Nanba's Pyro Breath and Adachi's Paralysis Prongs work great here, depending on your team's composition.

Both of these boss fights give out heavy XP, which should put Kasuga well into level 30+ at this point. You will unlock:

  • Rising Dragon

    Reached level 30 with Kasuga.

Guide for Yakuza: Like a Dragon (63)
